John and Helen pastor Relate Church, a thriving family church with three worship centres in the Vancouver area. The church was planted in 1986, after John left his prosperous dental practice to become a full-time pastor. John and Helen travel internationally, speaking on marriage, family and relationships. They are both gifted authors and hosts of the television shows Relate and VCC Live.

John and Helen speak with wisdom and authority on marriage, family, and relationships. They are passionate about equipping the next generation to live life well. Their story of fighting back from a broken and painful marriage inspires many.

They have celebrated 34 years of marriage and have raised three daughters, all of whom are happily married. They also have six grandchildren.
